If there is a group of children they can group together and make banners for a parade of their own for family or others to see.    If you do not celebrate this day it could be saved to make a Birthday Card for a parent, sister or brother, other relative or friend.  Whatever strikes your fancy. =P

                                                           Number 2 Of The Second Potholder                                                                                                     I am showing this picture again because the puddles in the picture show up better at this angle. The walkway I used a copper color ink marker, then some very fine copper glitter.  For the puddles I used ink markers and acrylic paint and a toothpick to swirl the puddle in the center to hopefully appear the right affect when a raindrop falls on the puddle. I enjoyed doing the puddles the most.  " Have an inspiring day or a relaxing night".

                                                           First And Second Potholder                                                                                                             The last item I glued on the first potholder was the round blue plastic like button, on the middle part of the bow.  With the second picture I did for starters the same as the first I used the alcohol markers.  I outlined and colored in other parts of it.  For the cloud I used very thick contact paper,  alcohol markers and glitter nail polish.  For the bow I used a flat blue marble, and a bell that the goose is playing with, attached to a thin blue ribbon.   When I placed the glass marble and the bell on I took some very sticky double contact paper and pressed it on the bottom of the marble and bell and then, used my fabric glue to attach it in place for a stronger bond.  When you do your crafting next, I hope it brings you joy and contentment.  :)>

                                                         In this project you can buy a light colored plain pot holder.  Draw or  trace a design on it and decorate it to your own or someone else you might make it for of their interests.  I  used alcohol markers, embroidery thread. sequins and other things to complete this project that is not shown here.  Will show in another pic.  I made this for a housewarming gift, for someone who likes geese.  Because of the thread, it is used for decorating your kitchen use only.  What is your inspiration calling on for today?  

   

Tip For The Day.

                                                              Tip For The Day                                                                                                                                 If  you are trying to tape plastic to plastic, glass to glass,  plastic to glass etc. and your glue is not doing it's best and not working like you want it to do, then,  keep on hand some double sticky tape.  I find this really helpful in my projects.  Place some double sticky tape under your glass or plastic sometimes on both items you are gluing together, then place the glue on the tape you just placed on your item. attach it to where you want it and let it dry.  I find  in my experience in certain cases it can work better.       If nothing else is working.  What do you have to lose?   Have a great day or night!

Second Sock Holder.

                                                              Second  Sock  Holder                                                                                            Here is another sock holder I made as a gift.   This I made for a precious family member who inspires us. "Our Loved Ones."  Yes, her name is Hope. If I may add the name is fitting for her as well. :)                          I used a wooden block, One thick ribbon, then,  put her name on it. I used sticker letters,  Round sequins for the sticker letters to go on.    I used double sticky tape to have the sequins stick on the blue ribbon you see here.   If you feel it isn't sticking enough then you could add some fabric glue on the sticky tape.   Two painted clothespins for the side, for socks to hang on. Hooks underneath I believe for the other socks and cloth string  misfit bag to go on.   A plaque girl with the letter H on it for her name.  A little bird cage next to the girl.                          Here is another gift that I made multiple of these for someone that has seven children.  I thought it would be a good  way to get ready for their week.  "Not that they aren't  organized, they do a great job in my book. l.o.l."    My husband had some beautiful well made pieces of wood from his furniture store that were being discontinued.  So fortunate for me to be able to nab them to make another craft. They were each different in color painted or stained.   I then gathered some clothespins and painted them. After they dried I had decorated them with colorful stickers.  Put a knob in the middle for decoration.  Put a design of sorts on each plaque.  I also nailed a steel hanger on the back so it could be hung on the wall and to get ready for the next week to be used.  I also put a cloth bag with a string on it to go and hang on the knob you see in the middle for the misfit socks that they can store them in until they hopefully find the match.   I don't know about you but I have some misfits that were never found.  I think Pack Man  Ate Them.  =P   I used wood glue on this project .                                                                   I used a longated  block of wood. You can stain or paint it.     wood glue,   acrylic paint,  close pins,  socks, colorful stickers and a steel backing to nail in the top of the middle for hanging on the wall.    A knob for middle so you can hang the bag.  Also a sting bag for misfit socks.      

Decorating Gift Bags.

                             Here are two gift bags that I decorated for my niece and nephew.  I used these soft cushioned flatter type ornamental type ornaments per say. I also had stationary paper frames for the bunny and bear to be set inside of the frame.  I used double sticky to attach the animals inside each frame. I also had two smaller wooden ornaments, the duck and the bird on the other that I also used double sticky to attach in the appropriate places of my choosing. Lastly, I had some letters that were already sticky that I pressed on that I used to make their names.     These little stuffy animals if you gathered six to eight of them would also make really cute baby mobiles over a crib. I wonder what ideas you can come up with? If you try any of these and choose to share I would enjoy seeing them. Plain Bag Decoration.

    A way of many you can decorate a plain bag.  I used a cloth heart doily that had the word Love on it to be the center of this bag.  It was for someone who was having a baby.  Also, you can see a flower pen in the middle of the heart that the Mom can take a picture of  her baby after the baby is born.  When or if she has to go back to work, she has a reminder of her little one as she is working.  Also, is a good conversation starter for a way to converse whoever might be wondering who's picture is on her pen. As I am sure you already know there are many ways to decorate a plain bag.  Just a reminder of your own inspiration you can bring to the surface.  :).  Have a great day or night, where you are entering into in your time zone.  The cloth doily could be used after, to put in a frame on the wall of the babies room. A gift that keeps giving.  :).

Thread Holder Wall Hanging.

This idea makes a nice gift for someone just starting out in their first home or of course for someone who is a crafter or sews for easy access to a basic color. This is not my idea but I thought it made a nice gift.  One thing I did do to add on for it so the thread spools do not slip off of the stick is I had tiny colored elastics and twisted it around each stick. If it was a green thread then ,I twisted a green elastic around the same color to keep the spool in place. Especially if you are wrapping it up for a gift you would not want all the spools to come off and roll on the floor,while they are taking it out of the box. Another idea you could choose to do is put wooden knobs on each tip, or pretty knobs with a design or emblim on it.  I used a small picture frame , cotton batting and material for the pin cusion and glued a wooden house on the top to make it more homey.  Hope this inspires you for added ideas to a project you are thinking of doing.=).

Coasters Motifs from Quilts, Placing A Meaning On Back For Each.

 These are another set of coaster's I made as a gift as well. I took and drew motifs  that are made by quilter's and turned them into what you see here. On the backs of them each motif has a meaning, that can be used for how I wanted to represent the person it was for. Hope you like them.  Thanks for checking my blog out. :)

Animal Coasters

These are coasters as well. I made them as gifts. They were made from cardboard base, double sticky contact paper, material design patches from quilt. I drew the pictures to size and placed the animals on the material with the coasters. I was able to use the material because I have the clear plastic that covers the top and they can be wiped clean. I made this one as a gift for my daughter because she likes pigs :) 

This one was also for a gift and he likes animals. This one was made out of contact paper, topped with clear plastic. They can be wiped very easily. The plastic makes it so unique because the choices of material you can use are not limited due to the plastic coating over the coasters.
